This is an awesome addition to our kayaking gear. My 7 year old was not 100% confident going down the local rivers by herself yet. However has their own kayak. Hooked this up to mine during the sketchy parts so I was in control and they only had to paddle. Great for beginners. I would unhook in the more calm areas so they could get a feel for no assistance.
