Makes it easier to carry our kayak. When we go camping with our camper. I would buy them again.Very easy to install and use.These were as advertised and work great. I didn't like the insulation for the bars but it worked I replace them with pool noodle.this was my preference but it would work as it was.We carried two pairs of kayaks over 1500 miles this summer with these holders. Very easy to install and use. 75 mile an hour on the highway and they did great. As we did, I would highly recommend bow and stern lines. I tied bow lines under my air dam and the stern lines were tied to our tow rack. A simple modification that helps ensure kayaks stay on the roof and don’t hurt anyone in transport. The racks did great though and I am happy with the purchase. I installed them on a 2011 Toyota Sienna with aftermarket racks.While it was a little tricky to line up the bolts, all of the holes were correctly positioned. The hardest part was holding the washers/nuts when installing on my Rav4. The cam straps that came with it were comically too short to fit my new kayak, so had had to get new ratcheting web. I've only had the kayak on it once, but it seems sturdy enough.DO NOT buy these kayak racks. They broke the first time I took my kayaks on the road and caused a very dangerous situation for me. These are not worth the money. Poor quality. I had to buy different straps because the ones that come with it are cheap and do not hold kayaks. Luckily I did buy new straps because when the kayak racks broke, my straps were the only thing that kept my kayaks on the roof of my car while I got off the freeway. Worst product ever. DO NOT BUY!!! Not only is it a waste of money, it is incredibly dangerous. I haven’t even had these a week and I will be contacting the seller for a refund. I can’t not stress this enough, DO NOT BUY.There required modification to put together. I had to cut holes in the plastic plates to get them to line up with holes in the frames. The cam straps that came along slipped and would have cause a catastrophic failure. Very difficult to install without scratching roof paint (use a mat under as you bolt the bottom plates. The instructions did not say how to attach to the roof rails or how to strap down the boat to the j hooks.Faded quick and damaged by car.The racks where fairly easy to put together and to install. The rack material quality is standard, not as good as a name brand, but overall sturdy.My issues was with the seller/customer service. One of the parts shown in the picture above. The piece has a manufactures defect and is a major part that holds the rack on the vehicle. I asked the seller for a replacement part and their solution was to offer me a $5 discount and told me to find the part myself.I then contacted seller asking great compensation as I am unable to use one set of the racks and their offer was $10.I would recommend the racks them selves, but would not recommend this seller.This kayak carrier is garbage. The straps don't hold anything and the actual metal just bends. I lost kayak off the top of my vehicle in the first 12 min of my trip. Busted and in the ditch on the highway. The arms just fall over because after tightening to the max on my roof rack, the shape of the fastener gets distorted and doesn't keep its form.Pas aussi robuste que les marques connue les tuyaus sont plus petit que la normalle et les mousses ne rienne pas bien et sont trop mince ,j'ai fait 3 sortie et jai déja 2 mousse de dechiré ,je conseil de payé plus cher pour avoir plus de quality je vais les gardés pour dépanner je vais acheter la marque Thule.Easy to put together, easy to put on and off of the car, easy straps to attach and tighten to the vehicle. I recommend getting a rubber lining so that it doesn’t scratch your roof bars, but if you’re not worried about that then it’s all good!I had to get them bent to fit my roof rack a little wide n no instructions but i got it to work the high part of the J needs to more of a 90° J ?
