I bought both roof rack (a year ago) and this folding J bar ( two months ago) from same company, Roxkiotex. I just bought a kayak a week ago, so may have to wait until next summer to test their carrying capability. However both products are well built, easy to install, the seller, Victor, is extremely helpful and quick response to my many questions. Victor talked to me on the phone for about an hour last summer for installation of roof rack since the length of roof rack is a little longer than my vehicle required (Mercedes Benz GLC 300).
